Sorry to relay the information that Dick Sanders died last Friday, June 2. Dick owned Sanders Hardware Hank in Early, Iowa, and was a great resource for Maytag wringer washers and parts. Some of you may recall I bought my first "gray ghost" Model 32 from him in the summer of 2012.

Here's the link to the obituary and condolence page ...

So sad to read this... Seems like I have had so many friends and acquaintances passing the past two years.

I'm sorry Brad for your loss.

Wonderful that his passion for collecting Maytag wringer washers---as well as how he helped other collectors---is mentioned in his obituary. Thanks for bringing his passing to our attention, Brad.

When I was there the store was so packed full of stuff you could hardly move around. The driveway leading to the store was lined with Maytag wringers of every variety and condition.
If it was for a Maytag wringer, chances are he had it----- for a price.

Greg worked on him for a while and we were allowed to dig through his old storage barn for hidden treasure. It was piled-high and dangerous.
I did manage to rescue an old time-fill Highlander that cleaned-up to be in very good shape, except for the usual dripping oil. Numerous summer/winter cycles having taken their toll on the tranny seal.

I think Greg recently told me his wife has been running things. A very interesting couple.
