Hello all, ignore my earlier thread. So I finally fixed it!
So, the issue turned out to be the food chopper down in the sump. When I had gone to clean it three months ago when I initially got the machine, water was not forcefully jetting out of the 2nd and third level wash arms. So I cleaned out the sump and chopper, but little did I know I put the food chopper back in wrong. The surging began AFTER I put the chopper back in. I thought I knew what I was doing but I was wrong. Today I decided to check and see if the food chopper was possibly screwed up because I couldn't logically think of anything else that could be causing the dishwasher to surge while re circulation the water, constantly, on any cycle. considering it started AFTER I put the food chopper back in and cleaned it. So I went down and checked it, and sure enough the entire thing was just laying loose under the cover. So I watched a few videos and learned exactly how it should go back in, and bamm! I got it in within 5 minutes! Put it all back together, ran it, and now it runs PERFECTLY! The food chopper spinning is very audible when the motor kicks on, but you cant hear it at all when its just recirculating the water. I was actually concerned because you could hear it spinning a little bit so I ripped it all back apart and the chopper was still in its correct placement and it isn't hitting anything. Its currently washing right now and absolute no surging! It has never ran more than 10 minutes without surging, and its been running about half an hour with none at all! Theirs even a layer of suds in the water and its still isn't surging! Thank you to everyone that helped me along the way, even though nobody guessed the issue you all did help. My machine is now running perfectly and Im so happy with it! To be specific in case anyone is wondering, this is a two year old Maytag Jetclean Plus Steam Clean dishwasher. The entire issue was a big operator error. |
