May be an odd question but I enjoy IDing stuff on TV. Does anyone know what this hi-fi system is Hyacinth was using?

It could be any 90's mini component system. I don't recognize it.

Looks to be moderately high end stuff. And being that it is a British sitcom, I'd wager it may be Cambridge Audio gear, it has that overall appearance.

"I'd wager it may be Cambridge Audio"

I thought that too.

None of the other brands looked anything like it. I tried comparing a few images from Akai, Aiwa, Denon, Kenwood, JVC, Sony, Technics. None seemed to match.

It being the BBC, the props department might have tweaked the fascia panels (covered up logos and brands) as they have a policy of non-advertising, since their funding comes via the licence fee, paid by the viewer.

Royal Warrant

Obviously it is something with a Royal Warrant!

Of course,

nothing but the best in the British tradition.
No candelight supper could be complete without low distortion high channel separation and signal to noise ratio music. Shoes removed as well to protect the freshly polished herringbone wood block floors.
Sit down, proper table etiquete, and have soup to desert from the fine Royal Daulton bone china.
