My own version of that machine is one of my daily drivers. Wonderful for washing bulky things like bathmats, shower curtains, bathtub/shower rubber mats and stuff. Spins pretty good too; not a true Rapid Dry, but better than almost all other American machines of that time period.
Always disappointed a little by the dryers. They worked well but I never understood why they didn't put electronic sensors or lighted drums in their dryers. I think some of the very top TOL 's had a light but I don't remember an electronic dryness sensor. Liked the triangular drum vanes, large convenient portals and lint filters. |

Everyone for the kind words, looking forward to getting the beauties hooked up. I took a picture of the underside of the machines, they are extremely clean. -Tyler |

What model Maytag is that? Not the 806 referred to in your profile? They have a reputation for robustness and dependability... |

It's interesting how the wash-rinse temperature selector doesn't include a cold water option. Was this typical on Frigidaires of the era? |

Rob, yes I have seen several models like this. the warm wash/warm rinse was eventually removed and cold/cold replaced it so the 4 options were h/w, h/c, w/c, c/c. This was applicable for models with just the one water temp knob. Now for the model with the separate wash & rinse temperatures, that was a different story. |
