Which one cleans better? Well In this commercial you can see the Kenmore is overloaded and not filled with enough water. I would have to say for dependability and CLEANING I would pick the Kenmore. I have used both and found the Jet-Cone washing to leave stains behind. I worked with a young mother of three 20 years ago. I always noticed her clothes were stained? I was really wanting to know what kind of washer she had and soap. We talked about it and she said her washer was "old" but made a lot of noise and was green. She also added the machine was her sisters mother in laws machine which had been in the basement forever. She said she used tide and surf? So I thought hmm? I went to her house one day and saw a mound of laundry in her basement due to having 3 kids. I saw a early 70's Jet cone washer that was covered in rust and soap with no front panel just washing a way and a late 60's hotpoint dryer giving out some hot heat from the bounce dryer sheets I smelled. I just noticed her white uniforms looked dull and stained. We were cooks at the hospital at the time. Well anyhow I was living with my mom who had a 1997 whirlpool direct drive that my grandfather bought for her after our 1990 Norge died after only 7 years tub break and transmission. Needless to say my mom still has that washer in her laundry room and it WASHES GREAT! Direct Drive is the way to go for dependability. Anyways I took some of her shirts Tide with bleach and clorox in my moms washer she was forever thankful. Her fridgidaire broke three months after living in a basement for almost 25 years and three families using it. Ehh I guess it was dependable but she used it right up to the day it broke with no one in Niagara Falls NY and the retired repairmen she found who worked on those told her to "Throw it away" It was there lease favorite to work on LOL.

I dont see any link to a Frigidaire ad. I remember the Kenmore ad that took a red something around the Dual Action Agitator while it sat on the top in the Frigidaire.

In MY opinion...

NOTHING washes better than , Frigidaire, Norge, Kelvinator or Philco, But a BELT DRIVE WP or Kenmore is overall about the best thing ever.

It was a white sock that they dropped into those washers. The Kenmore was dubbed as "the best selling brand's Best washer".

Over a decade ago I decided to test 1957 Kenmore/Whirlpool with a 1958 Frigidaire Unimatic using 5 pair of jeans three pair of (33/32) and two pair of jeans (31/30) jeans.

The test was originally done in this thread.

I need to redo this test and film it in modern high resolution, but here it is. Both machines have their advantages and disadvantageous. You all can decide, I know which machine I prefer overall...
