I have an early 1950s Hotpoint dishwasher. I am missing just one part...that bit of chrome trim that is over the top of the door. Anyone have a parts machine with this extra part to spare?

Curious question: In the small photo, the knob doesn't look right. I got a replacement from a fellow member here (thank you) and it's white. Most images I've seen show a white knob, so I am assuming that it is correct and the one that came on the machine (now lost) was incorrect?214-761-1968

Thanks,
Tom

Had friends of the family who had one of these.  The original knob was white but it broke off and the replacement was narrower and chrome/silver colored.  Incidentally, this was in Dallas in the late 1950s early 1960s.  This seemed to be the most popular dishwasher put in new homes nice enough to come with dishwashers.  I saw many of them.
