Gotta be a mistake in the "Chicken Con Fritos" recipe. I think they meant 'fryer chicken'.

Con Frito's;

It calls for fried chicken. The sauce sounds like a sort of fricasse'.

Vac, if the chicken is fried and then you cook it for 30min in pressure cooker, will there be anything left?

Another great set of ads, Louie. Thanks for sharing them. I want to make the lemon-blueberry pie...even though I can't eat it, myself. Looks like a refreshing close to a summer cookout.

Ultra, I know this has been bounced around before, BUT, could you, would you post all these recipes to the ephemera section for purchase? Some of these bring back memories, good and bad! I would be willing to pay for them! Love what you do.

I just wished my mother was still here to make all those delicious things for everyone that I cant be bothered to make just for myself. But then again, Ma could not bother to make these recipes. She had way too much to do other than making supper, here it is, eat it or go without.

Hi Cuffs. I'm afraid that wouldn't be possible. Only Robert could do that. You could always click on the ad and save it.

Ultra, thanks for the reply. I hate to show my ignence, but I'm not sure I understand what you mean. All this work you have done should not go away any time soon.

I'm not the webmaster, so I don't possess the tools to upload in ephemera.

The image saving site I am using now supposedly will store the images I upload indefinitely. So as long as they store them, they will be available here in Automatic Washer for viewing.

As for the "work", well, it's not work for me at all. I enjoy it greatly.

All of these "Vintage" posts...advertisements, thrift-store finds, online finds etc. are very bad for my health. I sit down with a bag of Pepperidge Farm cookies or a container of Haggen Dazs and pig-out. I just emptied a bag of Kettle Cooked chips. When my doctor tells me to meet him at the truck scales out on I-10 in order to get my weight I'm going to blame these threads. I really enjoy them.

Cuffs, just simply right click on any image you like and save it to a folder on your computer.
