I used de-foamer for pools and spas to knock down suds when I had trouble with a couple of vintage dishwashers. In one infamous case, a seriously ditzy in-law had used regular dish soap to pre-wash the dishes and didn't rinse them well enough, if at all. It was a mess. I don't remember what happened the other time, but it was her fault then, too. |

Perhaps use a defoamer like RugDoctor's Anti-foam.

I was going to suggest fabric softener but Ralph beat me to it! The bottom of the door is the air vent where steam escapes during the dry cycle so it wouldn't be sealed tight there anyway. Mine foamed out the bottom once too and that was the last time I used any modern tablet in it and went back to old school chlorine based detergents. |
