You might check your dryer too. Sounds more like a dryer problem than washer. If the bearings were going bad, you would probably hear it. |

Sounds like streaks that can sometimes be left by dryer fabric softener sheets. Did you use a different brand or were they a new box that you hadn't used before? Also, sometimes if the heat is too high in the dryer these fab softener sheets will leave greasy streaks. You can get rid of them by rubbing regualr old bar soap on them and re washing the sheets in hot water with detergent.

If you hear the washer signal, you would hear it spin with a bearing failure for sure. |
