 It's not "pre-microwave," it is a microwave! With an actual radiant tube element for browning.
My parents had a similar model because, Wards of course. I think ours was older. It had a chiffon yellow and robin's egg blue scheme, and an angled latch at the bottom of the door instead of a push button up top. It made a sort of snap, then a brief rattling sound when the "Press to Start" button was pushed.
I'm pretty sure these were rebadged Tappans, which explains why the thing was still working more than 30 years after purchase when it was included in the estate sale. | ||
