Yes, Westinghouse and the price is hilarious!!!! Amazing how people automatically assume if it is old, it should have an exorbitant price regardless of condition.

Yep, I sent them an email offering them $10 for it, IF it works.

Pass...   I got sucked in by the 'teal' in the description.   I just hate it when a Craigslist ad states 'turquoise' or 'pink' but it refers to just a part or inside of an appliance....

In that kind of shape -- or even better -- the seller should knock off one of those zeros.

Nate scored an even nicer version of this machine for next to nothing a few years ago at an estate sale.  I don't know if he still has it.

That's quite a rare bird. Funny, no interior shots despite it being "excellent".

Funny indeed, Louie.  I'm betting the inside is as "excellent" as the outside.

Yes the price is over twice the price new, they may have it awhile if they don't start bargaining.

I'm assuming this is an impeller machine.

When we were looking at portable dishwashers, we went to the Davison's in downtown Atlanta and looked at the portable Westinghouse machines. The deluxe one with the back splash had two very stylish knobs. One was for the timer and one was for the temperature booster (on or off). The other model looked like this with one knob and no temp booster to guarantee 140F wash. Given that the cycle began with a warm up spray and went right into wash, if you didn't have the temp boost feature, you washed dishes in warm water. That would probably be the case with this jewel. Many of my parents' friends had DWs and said to be sure to get a machine with a pre-rinse so the WH was out. I felt sorry for the salesman who was trying to sell the machines.

"Signature"

I think he's basing his pricing strategy on the presence of "Signature" on the machine. In fancy Cursive none the less!! How can you resist THAT?!? LOL!
