.
The yellow racks are for use outdoors, doesn't attract bugs.

Also work better in the fog than regular racks...less glare.

I'd say 1982-1984.

That is probably a pretty good dishwasher. Hope someone gets it makes use of it. Excellent price, if it is really in as good a shape as they claim.

At least the yellow lower rack is the bed of nails design and not that horrible rack with the triangular dividers that made loading things other than plates difficult. I know that if you used the heated wash option, this machine would turn out clean dishes and the large wash arm under the upper rack gave good results even when the lower rack was full of water-blocking items.

We'll See?

I have sent an offer to the seller. We'll see what happens. I don't mind paying for shipping as for me, it's worth it. Not sure why, but I've always had a thing for Kenmore dws of this vintage. Yes, I've heard all the negative feedback about D&M built products, but as a kid, recall all the roto racks and the earlier square upper rack models washing results being very good. My Mom used a roto rack top load model bought used, for many years with no problems. It was "overloaded" daily with plates and other dishes, then bowls and large pans placed over the smaller items but everything was clean every time.

I wish you success!

I have to admit that's a very attractive dishwasher. I really like the combination of yellow or harvest gold with black trim and wood grain. I miss all the wood accents manufacturers used to put on things like appliances and car interiors.

Allen, you have a knack for spotting nice stuff. Stay out of Tiffany's. wink

No response?

Oh well, no reply.

Thanks Tom!

Maybe something will develop.

I'd like to think that yellow is the orig. color & not discoloration from those years of use...
