Launderall got into the game right after WWII I guess. Notice that in the all the description of the wonderful things their washer will do for you, they never mention it has to be bolted to the floor. Apparently these machines didn't do a great job either cleaning or extracting the clothes. But they probably were a step up from a wringer washer, providing you had a place to bolt them to the floor.

Have never seen one of these in person.  I know it only from the iconic 'I Love Lucy' episode (although, if you follow the link, you'll learn the washer was probably a doctored Horton, which replaced the Jacobs-made Launderall around 1950).
