Greetings! Have not posted in a while. With the humid summer weather I am trying to keep my basement dry as possible. I have started using the dehumidifier alot and pouring the water in the first rinse of my Affinity front loader.

The water must be uber soft, I wait for the first rinse fill to complete pause the machine an pour in the water through the detergent dispenser, the water gets really sudsy

My clothes come out really clean and soft when I do this, anyone else try it ?

It is close to distilled water as far as lack of minerals goes so that is a good use. Smart!

Great idea, Phil! You must have a good, steady aim to pour water from a dehumidifier bucket into a front-loader's detergent dispenser.

The two Frigidaire dehumidifiers at the house had a rather wide pouring pattern. Two big, thirsty hostas outside the front door received the collected water twice daily.

I put my dehumidified water in the Easy spindrier when I wash so that I have warm water. It works well. Gary
