Here ya go :)

Installed in 1980. So this must be the very last of the center dial? And lighted console?

Yeah..

This was a screen shot I took of a Maytag I found on Craigslist. This one does not have the back lit panel. Maytag discontinued the back lit panels on their washers and dryers in 1975, and 1980 was the last year of the center dial Maytags.

That set in Hawthorne is waaaaaay overpriced.  The washer looks like a 606/8.  Even an 806 in that cosmetic condition wouldn't be worth what they're asking.

Asking TOO MUCH!!!!

I don't know why people ask that kind of money. Seriously! I have seen a Maytag on the Los Angeles Craigslist for $800.00. The seller said "RARE! 1960's Maytag washer and dryer" but it did not look like it was from the 1960's, 1. It was clearly from the early 1970's BOL Maytag. 2. The washer had a massive dent on the front panel. These Older Maytag washers and dryers are more common than people think, and they were not designed to break at all. You see a lot of these older Maytag washers on Craigslist, and they are quite common. I have also seen a Maytag twin tub washer and dryer on Craigslist for $200.00, they are not vary common, but the seller is asking $200.00 for it. I bought a Lady Kenmore portable washer and dryer for $45.00, and that is not vary common either.

Mighty pricy IMO Amazing what people will price stuff they think could possibly be collectable.

Yeah..

These Craigslist sellers' won't get anything if they are asking that kind of price. Again, I have a Lady Kenmore portable washer and dryer that is not that common, but I bought it for $45.00 off of Craigslist. If you want someone to buy it, you have to ask an ASAP price, otherwise no one is going to be interested in buying it.

some start out asking high prices.....common sense would tell you to keep reducing it until it sells....

then again, anything is worth what someone is willing to pay.....rare is finding someone to pay that high of a price...

some have paid higher, others have paid way less....just part of the search!

I paid 25.00 for an 1972 Maytag 806S washer in great working condition.....does not mean that every machine I ever find should be that price....some deals you can't pass up....

some of us live in the real world!

Of the outrageous pricing mentality. They go online, see what we say about these wonderful machines and think they're worth millions.
