The range has been picked up by Jeff Masoner and is safely in Maryland just waiting for me to pick it up! It was listed by Louie 'Ultramatic: in Shoppers Square, Thanks Jeff for going out of your way!

That's great news, Hans! Knew how much you wanted that Westy Ambassador. Another example of an AW member lending a hand to help out a member of the family.

I'm glad you got this!

I think that you are going to like this range. Westinghouse ranges had great ovens and the surface units were generally good, too.

Glad this Westinghouse will have a new home in your kitchen!! I have a 1961 Aristocrat model - very similar to the Ambassador - and it performs beautifully. You will like this range!!

We shall see

The BEST range I have is the green 70s Frigidaire that was my neighbors as a kid,the color really is nt my favorite, but it does work great, the Norge was my favorite and had the best baking ovens ever, but I let Jeff M have it for his museum because the oven liners were cracking and rusting, the Sears LOOKS great but the oven is not great,so we shall see,I have never had a GE that was useable, I have a 40 inch WH that John L found that worked good all around, but the ovens were odd sized, the large oven was self cleaning and the extra insulation made the small oven so narrow nothing would fit in it, so its at Bob Orears as asecond stove, I have a Thrifty Thirty Frigidaire that works ok, but I got aggravated not having a light in the oven,,,so I cant wait to try out the Westinghouse.

I hope you enjoy this stove as much as I have mine. This is a great stove.

Glad to hear you were able to make arrangements to get it Hans. Looking forward to hearing how it performs. Fellow members helping each other out is part of what makes this site so great.
