Sorry, I have Directv and all their stupid marathons of reruns you have seen last week and local stations are no different. Do these networks really think sane people want to binge watch reruns over and over? Give us more variety, like it used to be, for alot less money. Networks charge the cable and satellite providers more and more for the 'Priviledge" of broadcasting their crap, mostly commercials. The networks should gladly pay these providers, not the other way around and the consumer is always the one on the loosing end. Because if it was not for cable and satellite providers, nobody would see their crap.

You can binge on His Supreme Obnoxiousness, aka Guy Fieri, pretty much any old night on Food Network.  They don't run anything but repeats of his DDD crap all through prime time on most nights.

Its not just Guy on Food Network, cant stand him, those obnoxious Love it or List jerks, constant throwdown, war on Cooking network, constant jerk Steve Harvey I SAAAAid on GSN, Animal planet is all about fish tanks, tree houses, swimming pools or Parolees, not animals, TV land has has had constant reruns of Golden Girls every weekend this year. There has got to be a better way for less money to get different varieties of programming.

I agree and I rarely see anything on TV. I don't tend to watch much TV, usually when I do it's when I get roped into on of those house hunting genre shows. House Hunters/International, Buying Alaska, Log Cabin Living, and the newest RV and camper hunting.

They show multiple reruns of these shows back to back on different networks, before you know it, you've watched an hour or two of thirty minute episodes.

Not sure where this "binging" fad came from, of watching multiple episodes came from. I remember some second rate networks used to do something similar on weekend afternoons with reruns of old TV series of movie trilogies.

But I agree, now almost everything is reruns and the same movies over and over.

The only thing I tend to watch on TV with any regularity lately is Weatherscan and sometimes the regular Weather Channel.

I'd rather be on the computer than watching any of the mind numbing repetitive stuff on cable.

Don't watch ANY of the GARBAGE being shotgunned on the airwaves or from cable or satellite.Just watch MY OWN "marathons" of older shows or movies from DVD.

Try TV Land

We have Commiecast, and they play a lot of old shows. Usually 2 in a row. Sometime they will play a few hour fest of a show, but not with any regularity. I enjoy it.

Since January, TV Land reruns over and over The Golden Girls EVERY weekend. They USED to have a big variety of shows but now it is binge on reruns of the same old over and over. Do people actually binge watch reruns over and over? Old TV Land had 1 or 2 shows and then another show but thats not what I get on Directv now.

I understand why the channels do it because it is cheap and they don't give a fried damn, but I  can't understand how they get away with showing the same movies or TV show episodes all weekend. I wonder if they even need more than one person watching the computer to make sure the precious commercials go out to run the channel all weekend.
