Enjoy:

One wonders why they go take such pains not to mention "Miele" by name.

"One wonders why they take such pains not to mention Miele by name..."

They probably didn't know how to pronounce it, LOL.

Thanks for embedding this little gem, Launderess. It was nice to have a cup of coffee over it this morning.  Enjoyed learning Miele's this company's history.

Have known Miele made bicycles for yonks; if for nothing else because anytime searches were done on eBay or CL using that company name bikes also came up.

Miele has also produced milking machines for a long time. They are no longer active in that area, but parts are still available.

Good lord! Parts are available for no-longer-produced Miele milking machines, yet Samsung can't manage to make parts available for their current line more than a handful of years.

"Samsung can't manage to make parts available..."

Quite.

It puts one off buying Samsung kit. I had read somewhere before, that Samsung launched machines with certain features which then disappeared on the following ranges.

And I dare say that this new Samsung 'QuickDrive' Keymatic knock-off will be no exception. In fact, because it is so esoteric, it might even disappear quicker than it came.

I imagine the twisting, torquing action on the clothes will not be good for them - especially today's modern flimsy cottons.

Couldn't find much about up to when Miele manufactured milking machines, but on a forum I read a message from 2008 from a man who says Miele stopped making them a long time ago...
