It's been months if not a year or more that I can recall buying a new appliance (correct me if I'm wrong someone I'm getting old)  . But I saw a shiny new Instant Pot 8qt pressure cooker on sale and I couldn't resist the urge.  I won a bit of cash at the casino that was burning a hole in my pocket so that didn't help either :)  Anyways, I already had a 6 qt older electronic which I dearly love but it has a teflon pot inside that is starting to wear and a myriad of other excuses to justify buying it..This is 8 qts. and a shiny stainless steel pot inside plus you can saute and brown your meats right in the pc.. So soon as I got it home, unboxed, washed the pot,, chopped some veggies and bought a pound of stewing beef.. in it all went... took about 50 minutes , perhaps a little longer than my older smaller pc, but loving it.   Thankfully the partner is away up in Newfoundland for a home visit so he wasn't here to poo poo it.. lol.. He won't even notice it on the shelf when he gets back.

Yay, enjoy it in good health!!!

(And yes, before I lose my reputation here, I will admit, I thought it was the kind of PC that people use to access porn...)   :-P

What's the operating system?  Embedded Linux?

Sorry.  Force of habit.

I'll . . . I'll be . . . going now.

Didn't dawn on me till after I created the post .. PC to me means pressure cooker :)   Made a big batch, near 7 quarts of chili tonight.  It cooked well but I don't think I put enough chili powder and spices in for such a big batch.. my fault not the machines.. so I had to add more and let it cook for a few more minutes.

I've been looking at those Instant Pots, really interesting PC's, very flexible and lots of options. There are some accessories available too. But for the time being I decided against it. No room for new stuff anymore!

Nice Braun appliances on the countertop btw.
