These models were TOL right before the demise of Philco washers and dryers. I had the privilege of owning a set of these and a combo unit that looked almost identical to the dryer once upon a time. Probably one of the most appealing and attractive looking sets ever made by anyone. This washer held a fairly large load and did a good job washing, rinsing and a fair job of spinning out the clothes. It left the clothes about as damp as Whirlpool/Kenmore or Westinghouse washers of the same era. The dryer was very slow drying and troublesome to clean the lint filter out on. Philco had by this time re designed their original "blades of water" mechanism to have fewer moving parts. But alas, the great automatic washer and dryer race was over by then. Philco washers were another truly remarkable machine, not like any other. It was one of several washers with a "different" way of washing clothes.
