This GE washer was quite a machine. If you look at the videos on it here, you will hear and see how it operated. It seemed to have the same type of agitator as the models up to and including 1960, but spun the clothes as fast as the Frigidaire unimatic machine. It also had an elaborate filtration system too.

Was this the one that saved the rinse water to be used for the next load? I like the lift-off lid. No worries about overhead cabinets in the way of a hinged lid. Another example of a washer that was technologically advanced for its time.
