A kitchen planning film from around 1940. Found this when looking at the one about 1933 GE refrigerators.

Claims to be from GE, but actually from the Modern Kitchen Bureau. Lots of appliances including GE, Hotpoint, Norge, Frigidaire. Also Sunbeam, Hamilton Beach, KitchenAid and other small items including Fiesta Ware.

Link is to part 1, part 2 can be accessed afterwards.

Thanks

"The American aim is that every man, woman and child may enjoy the better things of life." I wonder who came up with that. It's mighty Panglossian for the nation as it existed in 1941 and more than slightly oblivious to the society at the time.

A little voice told me "old man, you'd better look that one up"...my limited vocabulary, obviously the result of graduating from a state-operated university.

I learned about it from a very good English professor in our community college. We went on the quarter system and tuition for each quarter was 90 something dollars plus books and lab fees.
