WOW! congratulations on a nice range there. Chromalox replacement elements come with a trim ring that might help. I like the old elements that were halfway between Calrods and Radiantube/TK units.

I have a neat MIB OLD Norge element where there is the round outer ring with a star-shaped inner ring to give better heat distribution, I guess. The rings are like old COROX units in thickness. It looks like a wild early attempt at the problem of providing 5 or 7 heats with trying to provide even heat under the pan like parallel-wound Calrods.
