I have been wondering if there is a difference in Maytag wringer washer repair manuals. I purchased one from Phil a while back and I am curious if the one on here is different.

The one I have I believe is made after the J2l was out of production. I am thinking of buying the one on here but don't want to waste money on the same one.

First was a bad Xeorx copy purchased off eBay. The others are originals that came from same source.

Oldest covers the early small square tub wringers, while the youngest includes information on the safety stop foot pedal. Otherwise the basics are pretty much the same.

What you get from later revisions are references to improvements Maytag made to their conventional washing machines and their corresponding parts.

Since printer quality varies and or that of scans have always preferred to obtain an original manual where possible. But that is just me as am more of a visual person than reading when it comes to directions/repairs. Also some of the pictures/diagrams in older Maytag service manuals aren't crisp and clear. This further degrades when copied IMHO.

What one usually does is download repair manuals into PDF format and save file. This gives me a reference should be required and will print out individual pages as needed.
