I didn't grow up shopping at JCP--they were at the two malls that flanked our mall so there was little reason to drive past Crestwood Plaza to get there. I just a few minutes ago put in an order for a new electric mattress pad (the fabric around the electric wires frayed on the old one so don't particularly trust it).

I used to shop st JCPenney more than anywhere else, but after the one at The Washington Mall closed I went less due to the distance.
However for the last year I now REFUSE to shop there due to their B.S. So-called return policy, and the useless department manager who refused to let me talk to her superior. | ||

 Haven't set foot in a JCPenney store for years, but purchase virtually all my clothes from them online. In fact, received a shipment of dress shirts, ties, and black Dockers only last week.
As Cole mentioned in the original post, Stafford Super Shirts used to have an elastic band attached to the top button which made the collars very comfortable. I now buy the Stafford Travel line when possible because they emerge from the dryer fairly wrinkle-free.
I wish they offered the same solid colors in Super Shirts, Travel and Standard lines. The standard shirts are fine, but they aren't as wrinkle-free as the Travel line. I have to purchase from all three lines to get the colors I want.
If JCPenney online ever disappears, I will be the guy wearing a barrel, LOL.

I went through the appliance department at my JC Penny at the mall--so not surprising it would sell GE appliances, given how decades ago that their appliances were made by GE's Hotpoint division...
There were also Frigidaires, reminding me of an old catalog from the 1980's that I saw White-Westinghouse appliances in, when they'd attempted to revive applause sales, though long after terminating their own brand... Seems like they will definitely give Sears a run for their money--the department seemed warm, friendly & home-like, as opposed to a more conventional appliance store setting that most retailers & specialty stores, in a rather cold approach, have long-used... -- Dave | ||
