What is the width of a 1-18 washer?

27", I believe. Not as wide as a Kenmore or combo, that's for sure!

Re: Why!!!

Are you disappointed Jamie? Were you hoping that it was going to be narrower than maybe even 27-inches?

What did you find, if not a 1-18 Frigidaire?

Peace and Happy Frigidaire Washing, Steve

Well, I have 49 inches of space and I need to fit a 27 inch 1-18, a 4 inch drain pipe, and a 19.25 inch Duratub sink... 27+4+19.25=50.25... That's the issue, how to fit 50.25 inches into a 49 inch space.... I suppose I could make the plumbing 2 inches wide instead of 4... I'll have to run that past dad first but I think I can make this work... I hope so at least...

Re: I'm curious to know why:

Is your Father wanting a 4-inch Drain Pipe, as far as I know a 2-inch Drain Pipe will certainly work. Would the Standpipe fit actually behind the Dura-Tub Sink? Otherwise, why can't the 1-18 Washer Drain into the 19.25-inch Dura-Tub Sink?

Good Luck, let us know what you end up doing with the Space you have to work with.

Peace and Fun Frigidaire 1-18 Times, Steve

Check and see if the duratub comes in a smaller size, this should make it work!

Where is the 4" pipe going to join the DuraTub plumbing? The 4" drain could go behind the machine if the union was underneath the floor. I have a DuraTub. We used the knockouts on both sides to have a 4" standpipe on either side of the tub. The three frontloaders easily drain into one, but the two Maytags have to drain into the tub because they drain so fast and the standpipes are both only as tall as the top of the sink. I really like that sink for washing large breakable things and especially glass stuff because the tub is soft so there is less of a breakage danger.

While I know this is less than perfect, the tub comes with the standpipe that fits in the drain under the faucet so you could put the narrow diameter drainhose from the 1-18 in that standpipe and hot have to bother with a separate one.
