Doesn't sound too bad not sure how much work it would be to change the bearing though. The part must be still made.

Sorry

I'm no help but I do rather like that washer, isnt it similar to the one used on the tv show "8 Simple Rules for Dating my Teenage Daughter" ?

That washer looks as if it has a hint of electrolux in it!!

Take Care
Dan

It is Electrolux made in the US. Not a bad washer overall and they have been pretty reliable for the time they have been on the market here.

The main bearing is a bit of challenge, as with any front loader (with the exception of the new SQ washers, I hear) but it can be done. If you're at all handy, this is a good washer for the price.

Not worth the time

Brief history-Frigidaire was one of several brands (Gibson, Westinghouse) bought up by White Consolidated Industries in the late '70's. White was subsequently bought up by Electrolux of Sweden, until recently the world's biggest appliance manufacturer. These machines are basically junk. I owned one, with the Kenmore name, and recommended them to four other people; three out of the five lunched their tub bearings, including mine, after only six years (my brother Steve's only lasted about 4-1/2). The bearings are molded into the back half of the outer tub-the bearings cannot be replaced by themselves. You have to buy the back half of the outer tub, which has the bearings in it. Unbelievable, but true. I replaced mine with a Whirlpool Duet HT, and let the delivery people take the "Frigimore" to the junkyard. Another thing about the Frigidaire-the spin balancing "protocol" is inadequate, especially if you are planning to put the machine in an upstairs laundry room. Unlike the electronically timed machines, these use an old-type electromechanical timer, and if the load doesn't balance out after a couple of tries, the timer keeps advancing and you end up with no spin at all. I wouldn't waste my time or money on such junk.
