I don't like daylight savings! What is the point of daylight savings in the fall? It seems more like Daylight Wastings (TM)!

If it's anything like our British Summer Time switching back to Greenwich Mean Time in the Autumn, the idea is to have more daylight in the mornings in order for workers to get things done, and to have kiddies travelling to school in daylight rather than darkness.

I agree with you 100% Sean. This state being the farthest east in the US has night time darkness by 3:30 in the afternoon now. Friends in Indiana, on same time zone as us, do not see darkness until around 7 PM. Mass is trying to get all of us in New England to switch to Atlantic time so its not pitch black outside for an extra hour. Who cares if its bright and sunny at 4 AM.

Just for the heck of it, I might switch my clock another hour forward! LOL!

Daylight Saving Time is over and done with until Spring. What's the purpose of your complaint on the day after we went back to standard time?

We fall back, or set our clocks back an hour in the fall; which it now standard time. Daylight savings is the when we lose that hour or Spring forward for the summer months. But I'm with you, I hate having the hour ripped away from me so savagely in the spring. Don't seem to have any problem getting it back in the fall.

Just saw a meme on facebook yesterday. It had a picture of a Native American in traditional dress and said:

"Only the white man would think you could cut two inches off the top of a blanket and sew it on the bottom and think the blanket is longer."

I hate falling back, especially living on the far eastern edge of central time. Gets dark around 4:30.

Then you would be on Daylight Savings Time, which you said that you hate, so why would you do that?

Sean, this is not an appropriate subject matter for the Super Forum, this subject matter is for the As the Tub Turns Forum. You must be 18+ and an upgraded member to post in the private forums.

In the future please keep all your super forum posts to subjects relating to Home Products that are not washer/dryer or dishwasher related, as those go in the Imperial or Deluxe Forum.
