By the time you are into them $1200.00 for shipping alone you are looking at an over $4000.00 investment. And then, you don't know what little gremlins they might have that need repair--------with long ago NLA parts. Too risky.

$3,000.00?

$3,000.00 is over the top expensive for a vintage washer and dryer. If it were in its original box, it would be worth it. Whoever is selling that '57 Kenmore washer and dryer is going to have it for some time. I could probably find a classic car that is in decent shape for $3,000.00, or a newer car that is 10 years old that has low mileage for $3,000.00.

But would a car satisfy a longing for a matched washer and dryer set and would these help if you needed a car? It is largely a matter of what you want or need; one is not a substitute for the other. Price-wise, the seller will probably be forced to come down. The pair would not be commanding the initial high asking price if they were white.
