Saw an ad for this JCPenney set this weekend on the Facebook marketplace.
Hopefully someone can save them. I'd love to have the washer, as it matches my JCPenney dryer, just don't have the availability or means this week to go get them. I believe they are in Wilkinsburg |

These were cool dryers, and some of these even had a 30,000 BTU gas burner, GE downsized their extra large dryers to a 27" wide 7 CF machine that never worked as well because these huge dryers were too expensive to build and would not fit through the doors of many buyers homes and thus got returned.
But these were probably about the best dryers that GE ever built, the huge diameter drum really allowed things like jeans to dry without wrinkles. And the good news is they mostly use standard GE dryer parts so they are easy to fix and keep running.
