Addition, the Rudolph display 62 bucks online, from Ebay seller. Pretty chintzy construction but he's cute nonetheless.

Also the candles were moved to garage door, this year I pounded in 2 rebar poles and used twine to secure the candles to the rebar.

Added 4  new yard signs also

Looks really good. I saw candles a lot like those at Menard's the other day - they were pretty expensive. Like your Rudolph!

Wished I could see 60 degrees other than inside, maybe next June. 32 was the high today. I am not bothering with outside decorations as nobody would see them but me and I now feel the same on indoor decorations. With basically no family left, holidays thru the winter sucks.

Yes it was nice out today. I took the bike out for a cruise then raked a ton of leaves. Later the wind came up and covered my lawn again. Trre's here are hanging onto their leaves longer than I've ever seen

Leaves---

I concur about the leaves hanging on too long.  I suspect it was the hard hard freeze we got when the trees were still in the process of shedding.  Most of my leaves never changed color just turned dark brown and black while still on the tree.

Back on topic, I went to wash my windows today as it was so nice.  I refuse to put up lights in windows that are not sparkling clean - inside and out. Same goes for all the exterior light fixtures -all the glass goes in the DW before the bows go up.

It was 63 today. Went for a bike ride, coming back home I saw ahead the leaves pick up in a big vortex and kicked it down a gear and started peddling real hard to brace myself. That was a STRONG gust. It's been nice all weekend so have had time to put lights up here and there. The blow up snowman tried to fly away today.

I'm disappointed the little gizmos in photo #8 don't light up, but like your lights.

We had a nice warm day. I was glad for the tree service guys who came to do some work. Our Ginko trees' leaves never got a chance to turn the beautiful yellow before falling. We had a freeze before the frosts and the leaves just turned a sick black/green on the trees.

Yup, the weather

was perfect. It was only 66 in Los Angeles yesterday.
I'm not much of an outdoor decorator. My folks weren't either.
My dad used to not go out to get a live tree until the 22nd of December.
Mom did a nice job inside the house in only a couple or 3 days though.
I have her Fontanini nativity set from the 60's.

So I walked in the park yesterday taking advantage of the spring like day.
There were Mallards in the river, but the squirrels are gone, as is the Heron that was there all summer. The deer have moved on also.
A few mansions back up to the river, and I took a photo with my phone but it didn't turn out clear enough to upload. So many decorations, and a giant nativity set.
A neighbor across the street from me has new LED lights up. Yuck. Next door they got one of those starshine projector things. Even less bright.
Some still use the old style lights and the white hanging icicle lights which look nice.

The yard signs are from Walmart, Dollah General, and Lowes over the years.  They are decoration, they don't light up.

Check it out

if you like Christmas displays and lights.

"Candycane Lane" Acacia st., El Segundo Ca. just off the south side of LAX airport. This two block neighborhood has been decorating this way for decades.

Nice job, I like Rudolph. I have a candle as well, but it's red. I always wanted some lamp post blowmolds but never could find any for sale.

Two of my neighbors have the lights that put red and green lights on the house and trees, and one puts snowflakes and candy canes, plus they have some inflatables.

Other neigbhbors have candles in all their windows upstairs and downstairs. I'll probably put candles in my front windows. Maybe a wreath on the address sign. I've got to get moving on it.

Rudy is holding his own

2 soaking rains now some soaking snow but he still looks and works ok.   He's received some positive comments from the neighbors.

I think this outfit is also offering the Elf and the bumble if you wanted to have a yard set.

The 4 included stakes make a difference, in spite of some stiff winds, he has yet to blow over.

Blow Mold Lamp Posts

The blow mold items seem to sell out quickly; best to get them in Oct. or early Nov. The link is to a place that claims to have them in stock.

A company in the Chicago area (American Sale Co.) stocks nearly everything General Foam makes, but their out-of-stock on many items now. The snowman I want is sold out today.
