1956 was the year for several changes in thier washers. It was the first year for the lighted dial, the first for the new grey tub and pulsator and the first for the 3-Ring Pulsator. These machines were the beginning of some very stylish designs.

Absolutely agree: This is where Frigidaire's design team took off on a run of great-looking consoles that seemed to change drastically almost every year. The reins were pulled in around '67, but, Jesus, Frigidaire washers and dryers were the epitome of style for many years.
