I followed some very simple and detailed instructions to get this far.. guys, you have been a huge help. I was nervous at first but looky here! I got in there and it really is no big deal. Still not touching any electrical, but defiitely am able to give this girl a really nice cleaning. I even made a myself a nickle! If my pics are dtailed enough.. do any of you see any red flags that I should address before I plug it in?

a good cleaning of all lint/dust, and you should be good to go.....
if you have access to compressed air, that is a blessing when cleaning out an appliance, it will allow you to blow out dust/dirt out of every nook and cranny... otherwise small brushes and a vacuum will work..... some parts can be taken to the sink and scrubbed and cleaned with water... if you venture in further, a drop of oil on the pulleys and rollers may be in order...although I prefer grease... |

During cleaning, I noticed this felty ring is 1) coming away from the metal and 2) super hairy and I can't really get the fuzz off
