I mentioned a few weeks ago in another thread that when my Christmas lights were up I would take a few pictures of them. Here they are.

Richard, everything looks lovely.  I particularly like the white lights on the big tree out front.

I like the lights on the tree as well, and the star on the roof.

Star on the roof

The star is actually suspended mid-air between our flag pole and the antenna mast. I hand-made it having cut it out of a coated masonite panel and stapled a 70 count mini-incandesent twinkle light strand to it. I might add that there are NO LEDs anywhere. I hate them with a passion!!!

In previous years the star was held straight using a coat hanger as a brace to one of the lower points, every time there was a windy day I had to go on the icy roof and fix it, not to mention the fact that the star was allowed to flip over and over which ended up tightly braiding the extension cord feeding the star to the light strand holding it up by the time I end up taking it down. I got fed up with that and this year it is guyed off to the gutter brackets on either side.

With my father being disabled, I am defacto in charge of exterior Christmas decorating, among other things.
