Yep, everything related to American cars, trucks, buses, motorhomes, trailers, tires, gasoline, oil, accessories, and service stations from a bygone era. So slide into the drivers seat, buckle-up, adjust the mirrors, slip a record into the Highway-Hi-Fi and finally press D on the TorqueFlite. You're cruising now baby...enjoy the ride!

Love the DeSoto add. What's up with the all-in white? Is this supposed to show that they got in a head on and ended up at the big picnic in heaven? Poor Grandmother, scrunched int the rear when there's plenty of room in the back seat. LOL

I had the Granada. Actually it was the same vehicle with the Mercury Cougar badging. Fairly nice vehicle. Fox bodies were pretty good cars.

The Diplomat shown is a vehicle I've always wanted with the 318 and torqueflite. I've been looking at used ones (I believe the last of the M bodies was the 1989 Fury/5th Avenue).

Re; '64 Pontiac:

Art Fitzpatrick and Van Kaufman were the watercolor artists for Pontiac. Their magazine adds are photo-close, and scenery from around the world used. They also did some for Opel.
Catalina island, New Orleans, Paris, the Haute Corniche' above Monaco, Dubrovnic, etc., etc.
Today, I spotted a new Citroen DS4 on the Southfield freeway exiting Michigan avenue. It had Michigan plates too. Nice car.
In elementary school I used to draw cars free hand. You could tell which ones they were, and one of the Nuns would tape them to the front of her desk, even though I drew it during English class. My grades were good in English.
I had never known then about the Center for Creative studies where Fitz graduated from in Detroit. By the time I had, I was well engrained into my supermarket career. Computers had replaced artists brushes and pencils. Magazine adds were all photographs.

The FOX platform

T-Birds, Mustangs and Cougars were nice, and handled well, not having independent rear suspension. It evolved into the Lincoln Continental sedan and Mk VII with air suspension.

Lincoln's

became unibody in 1958. Thunderbirds also, with the 4 seater "square bird" style.
T-Birds went back to body on frame in 1967, then the Lincoln Mark III in 1969, then the town cars in '70. All were built in Wixom, mi.
The ford Elite only ran for late '74, '75, and '76. In '77, the big Bird was scrapped for the LTD II body with a canted sail panel and small opera windows forward of the rear quarter windows. The ride was a lot less weighty then the '76 Bird. Fuel economy was the reason being, and the lower price put many otherwise Gran Torino and Elite buyers in a T Bird, or Cougar XR7. I think Ford got some Buick Regal and Olds Cutlass buyers as well. Especially after the GM mid size cars shrank in '78.
The Olds Omega X boy fwd namely the brougham was the best GM X car interior for quality and style, as it was for the former rear drive versions. I drove a '76 Omega brougham in drivers ed with a rocket 350, and it was a very smooth in both ride and engine performance, and handled well also. It had rear stablizer bar.
I also drove the same year Nova with a 305 Chevy V8, and I could tell the difference in quality.
Lee Iacoca did a tv commercial saying once you drove a 4 cylinder turbo, you'd never go back to a V8. A 4 banger then was not as smooth ans any V8.
