I have a 1956 Frigidaire Imperial Oven for sale (color: Sheffield Green). It's in very good condition and I've used it as my primary kitchen oven for the past 2 years. I love it, but we're moving and it won't fit in our new kitchen. This is a vintage item and will need some basic TLC if you're interested in complete restoration, but again, it works well, is in good shape and is very reliable. $350 obo. Actual photos available upon request. We live in the Cincinnati, OH area.

but some actual pics please? of various areas and details. Any chipping in the porcelain would be important to note, or other cosmetic (other than basic cleaning) issues as well. Condition is everything with vintage anything, especially when asking a fairly significant price. Accurate description of any functional issues would be good to know as well. Thanks.

Did seller ever provide any pictures of the Frigidaire per your request? Don't believe Ive ever seen any actual pics of Sherwood green. Seller actually misquoted name of color. Color offerings for 56 were Sherwood green, Sheffield gray, Stratford yellow, Mayfair pink and white.

Just came across this pic which I assume is Sherwood green? Might be the picture but appears quite blue. Looks a little more green on the back splash.

Would say this picture is more accurate to actual color. Sure is pretty. Too bad manufacturers don't offer colors like this today.

Sherwood green is one of the great kitchen colors of all time.  I really wonder why it has never had a revival, the way turquoise and pink have.

If I could, I would have all my large kitchen appliances in Sherwood green.  So far, though, I’ve only got a stove.

they never sent pics or info :-( but it would be fun to add it to the pile. I'd need a 40" (or 39" or whatever it was). '56 was a great year for FD, and also for HP, for that matter... I still miss our pink '56 40, one I should have kept, but we can't keep them all... though some of us are trying ;-)

Beautiful stove, why didn't they send photos? That Sherwood green is really nice.

I'm the owner!

Hi, folks: I'm the owner of the 1956 40" Frigidaire Imperial Oven noted above. Thanks for your comments -- i had the color wrong! it's Sherwood Green and it's lovely. Same color as oven pics posted by others, in the thread. it has a couple of very small paint chips. Otherwise the paint and finish are in great shape. Everything is intact and looks good, but it needs some restoration love -- clock doesn't work, for example. We moved from OH to IN and it's currently in storage. Because it's a 40", i will need to make special accommodations for it in my kitchen. I go back and forth regarding selling it. I absolutely love it, but I'd also be happy to see it go to a good home. It's a hard-working oven of amazing quality, even after all these years! Will try to post photos here for you when it comes out of storage.
