I was browsing around online 'Which?', and came across this statement, dated 10th Dec 2017 (last paragraph in the article):

"Just in time for Christmas, or if you’re already planning your shopping list for the January sales, we’ve also just reviewed more new models from Hoover, Beko and Miele, as well as a mid-priced machine from Chinese brand Haier, the Haier HW80-B1636. As a name you may or may not recognise, Haier is actually responsible for all the washing machines you see branded Fisher & Paykel and Hotpoint, too."

Does Haier make Hotpoint machines, or has Which? goofed?

Which goofed

They state Mieles quick wash capacity at 3.5kg, but don't mention its 5kg/1h capability as quick wash.

And Hotpoint not to long ago was aquird by Whirlpool AFAIK.

GE/Hotpoint machines are still built in Kentucky as always.
Haier is simply the parent company.
