Have ya'll seen this!!??
If it's any good it will be the answer to our prayers at camp where we have no room for a dryer. Anyone know if this brand is any good, what's the AW.o's verdict on this thing??

Probably another Chinese produced product.

probably...

but wondering if are there any others with a choice of vented or condensing like this?

Chinese made is not always the negative it has been in the past, like the Japanese and Koreans before them, they are learning how to make better quality products, at least they are capable of doing so when they want to. The new Chinese-made Buick has done well and supposedly is pretty good. A Chinese branded vehicle is poised to be introduced here soon, it was just a matter of time.

Beyond that does anyone know anything about this combo, good or bad?

I think I would have to wonder if it will wash/dry/and most-importantly, hold as much as my current (and also separate) laundry machines do...

--Maybe more...

And, yes, longevity is also a factor...

longevity....

well it would probably last a long time given that we are at camp maybe 50-60 days a year max! That may extend to at most 4-5 months after we fully retire.

Hope CU does a report on this, mostly concerned about parts & performance, and who actually makes it.

Don't count them out yet.

We all had the same attitude about Japanese-made products in the Sixties and early Seventies and remember what happened with the automobile industry. I won't be surprised when (if China doesn't screw it all up which it can always do) white goods and cars from China take over our market.

and remember other than the USA and USSR/Russia, China is the only nation that has actually put people into space via their own rockets and space program, and their new fighter planes are very impressive technical achievement. They can pretty much make things as well as anybody, if and when they wish to. A lot of crap imported from there is due to cost cutting specs dictated by importers or as a way to gain share by selling strictly on price.

I predict China will make big inroads in the US auto market via electric vehicles ; they are putting huge emphasis on electric there due to the awful pollution and are also investing hugely in battery technology. The now Chinese owned NEVS New Electric Vehicle Sweden (formerly SAAB) connection along with numerous upcoming home-grown electric cars are examples. GAC Motors is coming to the US next year:

In any event would like to know more about this washer, I wish a US maker would build a similar combo (in retro colors would be a plus!) but won't hold my breath.

I like the look of that machine-are they going to make them in Turquoise, as well?

From the Deco website:

About Us

Deco Appliances has been marketing laundry products to the small home industry since 2006. The company’s flagship product is a combo washer-dryer, a single unit that washes and dries in the same machine. Models have been available in venting and non-venting types and in white and silver colors.

The new 6th generation machine is called the Super Combo and is so named because the user has a choice to convert the dryer from venting to non-venting in the same unit. This allows the distributor and the dealer to carry only one model that works for different applications, and provide the customer with a choice to switch from venting to non-venting depending upon their change of usage over time.  The Super Combo has been designed in USA, and features easy to use digital controls, has rugged suspension and has complied with Federal Energy Standards.

Deco Appliances also markets Washer and Dryer stackables. Dryers are available in compact and standard size models. The lineup is complimented by a full range of accessories to make the laundry appliance convenient and easy to use. High efficiency detergent has been specially developed to provide proper usage.

Deco Appliances believes in quality appliances that exceed expectations. Constant research and development is done to bring customers the best innovation in the industry as well as the best quality products available.
