Nope, don't see these everyday.... I've only ever seen them in catalogs!

Not for the claustrophobic. With the Nutone brand, I wonder if that is a vent of some kind above the oven to be used with broiling or maybe that is where the whole blower assembly is located. |

I saw something like this once in a NYC apartment. IIRC it was a gas unit and it was a Crown product.
There are many things about this design I like, especially that the cooktop is quoined by a stainless steel backsplash and side panel which helps with cleanup and ventilation for cooks like myself, that do a lot of stir-frying. I would bet the piece above the oven is for venting the oven during broiling and self-cleaning if it does that. For people with small kitchens this would be a nice unit if it works. |
