Nope, don't see these everyday....  I've only ever seen them in catalogs!

 

Very cool looking Nutone cooking centre; looks like a brushed chrome finish.  Seller says it is in good working condition.

I have seen

Several around here, turquoise ones and brushed chrome.

I'm with Paul. Only seen them in catalogs. I always felt it was an awkward design.

Not for the claustrophobic.  With the Nutone brand, I wonder if that is a vent of some kind above the oven to be used with broiling or maybe that is where the whole blower assembly is located.

I saw something like this once in a NYC apartment. IIRC it was a gas unit and it was a Crown product.

 

There are many things about this design I like, especially that the cooktop is quoined by a stainless steel backsplash and side panel which helps with cleanup and ventilation for cooks like myself, that do a lot of stir-frying. I would bet the piece above the oven is for venting the oven during broiling and self-cleaning if it does that. For people with small kitchens this would be a nice unit if it works.

Oven Vent, it was designed to broil with the

Door closed, it has a vent connected to the fan someway or another.
