Either machines that we know were made, but haven't found (at least among us yet)

Or ones that we know exist, but are looking for a few more of them

Let's put out an APB, search high and low and make dreams come true!

As of now I am strictly only collecting Maytag. But I'm currently trying to find yellow and brown Maytag sets. And an avocado Washer to match my lonely avocado dryer. I found some images off of Google of what I'm looking for. I wasn't sure what they called the colors on the older machines. I know that the machines in the year range as the avocado green one we're called harvest gold and coppertone .

Officially, I'm not looking...  This keeps me out of divorce court...  LOL

But right off the bat, I found that James dishwasher so far this year!  A 56 turquoise GE filter-flo would be fun to find, and I will drop everything and run if one of those awful Tappan dishwashers from the late 50s should surface...

Maytag Colors

Morning Jason
The colors back in the day then were coppertone, turquoise, sunny yellow, and pink. Then they came out with the shaded coppertone, avocado,n harvest gold. Then those colors all went solid. The next color scheme was almond...not real sure if Maytag ever had toast for a choice. Those are the ones I personally know for sure Jason. Hope this helps a bit for you.

'56 Frigidaire Unimatic

I would love to have a 1956 Unimatic to match up with my '56 filtrator dryer.

Great idea Jerry!

I tried to make it like that with my daydream post... but I think you worded yours better. I think my main focus will be the Westinghouse L-1000, the KDS-14 series, and a 50s/early 60s Tappan (or rebadged) microwave. Time to cut down on the list some.

I would love to find a very clean A806/A808 washer to use as my daily and retire the tired A407 as back up.

OK thanks. Yeah that helps. I knew the yellow looked a different color than harvest gold I just wasn't sure what they called it. 😁

I would travel great distance and pay reasonable price for a Unimatic any year in good working order.  Anybody up for making some Spring Vacation cash or early 2018 Christmas money?  Contact me. I am in the directory.  Tommy (Losangeles)

Multimatic

I have managed to collect two Unimatics and two Rollermatics over the last 2 years. Now I would like to find a Multimatic!

The list is getting short because space is virtually non-existent. But here are the machines I would move heaven and earth to bring into the un-made bed that is my house (in order of importance):

  1. A Maytag WP-600 Original Portable Dishwasher (preferably and early one with the separate pump but I'd take a newer on if it had the butcher-block top).
  2. A GE Empress (MUST have automatic opener)so I can make Paul turquoise with envy.
  3. A GE SU-70 Top Loading Built-in Dishwasher
  4. A Hotpoint Duo-Load.
  5. A GE WA-855T to replace the one I paid for but never received.
  6. A GE WA-955W a machine I've never seen even on the AW site.
  7. A Kelvinator with the blue swizzle-stick agitator that my Aunt Grace owned.
  8. A WO-65.
  9. An AW-6
  10. A "Juke Box" Philco.

An Empress!  Sigh... I have just about given up on finding one, but if you ever do, Ken, I demand visitation rights... LOL

Dream Machines

I would love a Westinghouse 1950s spacemate set. I got a pink set several years ago and the shipper destroyed the washer by having it upside down in the truck.
