These two reviews are for a lint filter for Speed Queen dryers. Both carry the online retailer's "Verified Purchase" banner.

They're hilarious! Would love to be able to search and find out how many different products these two generic reviews are attached to, LOL.

Are they translated from a foreign language? The grammar is rather stilted.

Did you report them? I generally find Amazon reviews to be dependable.

Ah yes, comfort is always a concern for a lint filter....

@ Rolls_Rapide

I agree. It reads like a machine translation.

What strikes me as funny is that nobody ever seems to look at these (presumably) planted reviews to make sure they actually make sense given the product in question.

I mean, a lint filter can neither be comfortable nor uncomfortable, lol.

I wanted to review a product at Amazon, but Amazon wouldn't let me publish it, just because it wasn't bought there, so to me, that's where the "verified purchase" rules seem unfair...

Thanks Ken.... LOL   You should approach Amazon to see if you could become a review writer!

I showed this to a coworker.....

.... and didn't tell him what the product was until after he finished reading it.

His comment: "It's probably written by an employee of the Chinese company that manufactures it..."

I laughed so hard because he's probably right!

A good example of why online reviews are generally useless, although they can be humorous. It is very rare to find any online review that is truly objective and written by someone really qualified to write the review. Then there is the "axe to grind" disparity where the majority of reviews will be negative for any product. It is human nature that only odd people spend lots of their time writing positive reviews compared to people that are jilted.

It is humorous to read Amazon reviews sometimes. I generally don't see them though since I have Amazon blocked in all my browsers so that they never show in search results.

Kevin, that's exactly what I thought after reading both of those blurbs.  Which is probably an apt term for them.  Either they did it using their own poor English or typed into a Chinese-designed translating program.
