Has anyone come up with a way to rebuild the Whirlpool square motors? I just need to replace the bearings in mine. I have one of the larger ones that used to run super quiet until recently. thanks! |

These are not considered repairable, although I did know a guy in Ohio that used to break apart the epoxied joints on Emerson motors and put in new bearings and glue them back together somewhat successfully.
Luckily these motors are still readily available in good used condition, in fact the motor will be about the last major part you will have to worry about to keep a good old WP BD machine running.
We have lots of good used motors around our shop for these washers and with a one year replacement or money back warranty they are only $50, PU only.
