Hi all! Thought now would be a good time to pop up and share my machine.
It is an Indesit W610G
I picked this up early on in 2014 from a kind lady in Liverpool who was very sad to see it go, for the privilege I paid five pounds and was told she was only selling as it had 'got noisy'.
After a few washes I realised there were only two legs on the spider so the whole bearing assembly was promptly replaced. From that point on it has given sterling service of at least 3 washes a week and the only work required was to replace a perished sump hose.
I love the noise it makes and when I moved into my new house I removed the brand new integrated indesit as it couldn't wash as well as this one.

Anyway! I have attached a picture for you guys to look at.
If anyone can share with me a rough year of manufacture and any other interesting points that would be great. Many thanks!

Hi there!

That range of Indesit machines came out in 1987 and ran for just under two years. They had a colour change towards the end of the run and were available with a grey facia and door or all white. Indesit were renoun for having many obscure models as well as the core range. The obscures machines often used parts from previous ranges , such as motors, and were usually catalogue or store exclusives. This range had the very basic one button 420rpm entry level machine , Indesit had done away with the spin drain by this time. Other machines in the range span at 500, 800 , 1000 and there was an 1100 machine , that was to be the first of Indesits Omega line.

thanks

Thanks Paulc much appreciated, I had figured it would be quite a low-end machine but it is ace nonetheless. :)

How do!

Yep - Paulc is right - deffo circa 1987.

Attached is a catalogue picture, courtesy of RobM's catalogue collection, showing the 800 and 1100 models and the dryer (manufactured by Creda at Blythe Bridge, for Indesit).

Looks like there were three bodyshell styles in the range, with the lower end of the range (incorporating the 610) adopting a bodyshell derived from the old L6, L8 and L10 series, with small door aperture, but with a crease added above the filter cover.

Mid range got the same bodyshell, but with a bigger door aperture, whilst top of the range also got an inset filter door hidden behind a removable kickstrip.

Very nice machines.

Paul

Again from 1987 ...

Again from RobM's catalogue collection, below is the 420rpm model 410 and confirming the 800rpm model as the 823.

With the 410 being the 420rpm model, I assume the 610 is a faster spinner? Can you confirm this to be the case?

A bit of a surprise!

Again from RobM (thanks for sharing them with me) is what I am pretty sure is the 610!
Surprise is that it's from 1991/early 1992.

By this time, Indesit has introduced the white and grey Omega models and were by now moving on to the replacement range (see the white models below), so I wonder if the 610 was created as a catalogue exclusive?

A lovely machine - so glad it was saved!
Paul

Ooh

So perhaps a little later than I had originally thought! Here's some more recent shots for you (today) as the above picture was about 3 years ago.

It could indeed be a later model as you have the programme guide on the facia. The machine is still in remarkably condition either way. Indesits were prone to rusting badly.
