Just picked these up today...and boy have they been “loved!” Rust, dents, etc. Am going to need to try to find a lint filter for the washer (along with a mini-basket). Dryer is missing the left brushed chrome console trim. However, it’s nice to add GE again to my collection!

Good connection with the seller, too. They own a moving company and said that frequently they come across washers and dryers just shoved to the side to make way for new ones and then when the people move, they don’t want the old machines. That’s how I ended up with these.

Maybe because everyone is getting their tax checks back, so they go appliance shopping!

Fired up the washer today and all works well except the recirculating filter. Nothing comes out of the flume. I will take the pump apart to see what is causing the problem. I once had a Whirlpool with the same problem and when I took the recirculating lint filter pump apart, I found a bent paper clip had somehow worked its way in there and caused the propeller to stop. Still can’t imaging how something like that got through the tub and into the pump. Considering the shape of this washer, I can only imagine what I will find!
