I recall seeing, many years ago, a small/portable washer & dryer from Montgomery Wards. I seem to remember that it looked like a tiny version of their rebadged large-capacity Norge machines. As I recall, it had that same type of agitator, but a bit smaller to fit the small tub. Anyone else remember these machines ... or is my memory failing me? Todd

WOW

That's it! Although it looks bigger in this picture, but I think that it my just be because it is a close-up picture. Are the mechanicals the same as the full-sized Norge machines? What is the capacity of these? Are they yours? Todd

These machines are 21 inches wide, and they have a 10LBS capacity I am pretty sure. The mechanics are the same as a full sized Norge, just shrunk down a bit. The only thing that doesn't impress me with the washer is that it doesn't get good turnover unless it's WAY underloaded, but there is some. It's a neat little machine. The dryer as of right now "works" but it needs a new control thermostat and a new safety thermostat. I'm workin' on doing a full cycle video of the washer but I haven't had a chance to work on it in a while with all the things going on in the laundryroom.

Gary Weibel has a portable version of this 21" machine from Mont. Wards in his collection. I always thought they were so neat when I was a kid and wanted one in the worst way - as with every other washer I saw...
