Hi: I purchased the 1 to 18 Jetcone last month. I never thought I would find this machine out in California. I love it with window in lid and 1979 model. The timer seems a bit finicky.

When I start it seems to always want to start on the beginning of each cycle. Let's say I want a second rinse and reset it to rinse it's very hard to pull the timer out to start. In fact I don't because it seems not the best idea.

Would spraying some Pam or 10W40 on the actual knob meaning under it but not exposed help out?

It also seems it may be off a bit because when I lift the lid while it's filling for rinse the water stops like the timer is saying it's still on spin and deactivating the lid safety option.

Thanks

Floyde, i just saw your thread and emailed you.

And please NEVER spray PAM in any part of your washing machine!
