While at Lowe's today I spotted some new (to me) very small but relatively bright LED appliance bulbs that fit the drum lights on my Maytag Neptune washer/dryer set perfectly.,
They consume 1.5w and put out an estimated 90 lumens. Most of the other candelabra base LED lights I've found till today have either been underpowered and dim, meant for nightlights, or decorative with huge glass bulbs that won't fit into the drum opening for the lights. These are GE brand, T4 bulb type, 1.5 watt power consumption. The 90 lumen output is more than twice the 42 watt output of a typical incandescent T4 6-watt bulb. And much brighter than the LED "nightlight" bulbs they replaced. GE part numbers: PC: 13370 Desc LED1T4/E12-LT Res. #1558511 BCSLedT411GE13370ASCH-01 Price was about $5.88 each. |

Our fridge door is LED as well. It is very bright. I have considered replacing the one under the microwave since we have it on often. Please post a picture of the Neptune with the LED. I am very curious to see the results! |
