If you could have Kenmore be anything you wanted, what would it be? What would Sears look like in an ideal world?

Here is one of mine:

Kenmore TL washers made by Speed Queen. Insides would be exactly like the transmission models pre 2018. There would be a BOL single knob wonder, single speed, standard capacity, porcelain speckle tub and straight vane no softener agitator like their commercial machines. Next model up goes to large capacity, water level selector, but still single speed. Next model up is two speed, straight vane, softener. Next up is the same but with a dual action agitator instead and a second rinse option. After that we have stainless steal tub, speed selector. Going higher we have timed bleach, softener, ATC, maybe a 3 speed motor. Going higher up we get into electronic controls.

Kenmore Dryers all Speed Queen made. BOL would have no tub light and be a single knob wonder. Going up the line the tumble drum becomes stainless and more options are added like a hamper drawer. But truthfully Whirlpool would also be adding their own to the mix as well their dryers are better over all.

Kenmore FL washers are the same. Speed Queen made and going from a single button BOL up to some juiced up luxury. Speed Queen would do the base design as it is now and Kenmore would dictate the look and features, say for example an automatic detergent dispenser and Wifi widget.

Their Dishwasher would start with a single knob BOL Whirlpool Powerclean, vinyl Racks and center tower delivery tube- all else like the power clean you know and love. 10 Minute prewash (normal), 36 minute main wash (no thermal hold) (light wash starts here), 4 minute rinse (purge might work here to) and a 20 minute final rinse (no thermal hold, just heat the water) Next model up gets 3 levels of water distribution, rinse aid dispenser and a 20 minute prewash (Heavy). Next model up does thermal holds and has nylon racks and a delux silver wave basket. Next model up has Pots and Pans in addition to heavy wash and delay options. Next model up has more buttons and a stainless steel tub and door liner. Next model up is electronic with china cycle, Hi temp, ect and has soil sense technology. The TOL power clean will have integrated (hidden or hologram controls), jazzed up racking system, 4 way hydro sweep arm, stainless steal upper rack wash arm and a model option with a window and lights. A few tall tubs starting from a single knob up to a window. A Kenmore Ultimate line will exist built by Hobart, Jackson, Miele or some equal- A commercial dishwasher adapted with residential features. These will have a 5 year warranty on parts and labor, 10 years on other select items.

GE built ranges on their BOLs, Garland or Hobart contracted TOLs.

A range of Microwaves going from basic to commercial quality units for home use.

Whirlpool Refrigerators going from BOL to MOL- Commercial contracted large units.

Kenmore Coffee makers made by Bunn, Including Kenmore badged VP17-1. Kenmore badged Kuregs. Black and Decker BOLs.

A line of Breville appliances by Kenmore. BOLs made by Hamilton Beach but contracted with good quality.

Kenmore Detergents and cleaners.

In house (Sears) service and repair on all Kenmore appliances including annual tune-ups.

I’d be content with just having the “Shredmore” or the belt drive Whirlpool back in the stores...

Oh man..

The possibilities are endless.
If Kenmore made a dishwasher with the bones of a Bosch, I would be happy. However, I would really like to see an app for smart devices where you could customize your own cycles. This applies to washers as well. Sometimes I feel like there isn't enough flexibility. For instance, the Bosch has an incredibly powerful prewash however it is very short in most cycles (3 minutes). It also has incredibly short wash times (~30 mins), but lets the dishes cool and dry at the end (30 minutes). If I had my way, a normal cycle would be Prewash (5-10 minutes), Prewash 2 if needed (10 minutes), Wash (105F for 10 minutes, 120F for 10 minutes, 140F for 10 minutes), first rinse (10 minutes, Final Rinse (Heat to 160F). But that is being very picky! I do wish my direct drive washer had the KitchenAid agitator, a speed selector with numerous options, higher spin speed, and that the transmission had a 180 degree arc.

I'd like to see Kenmore sell appliances and service on Amazon with local showrooms.

Can't say much beyond that.

Mixers made by KitchenAid. Bring back Elite models, my store has hardly any Elite small appliances anymore. Plus bring back more Kenmore utensils, my store has none!

Portable fans by Vornado.

Make canister vacs by Miele but with Kenmore design. Uprights by SEBO.

Dishwasher by Whirlpool. Bring UltraWash back and make it NSF certificated.

Top load washers by Whirlpool with Triple action and stainless tub walls with LED lighting. LED console lights and offer in slate gray, and other colors. Use the 29" Whirlpool dryer but with window in door and LED tub light.

A Coldspot a/c. Homart furnace and water heater. Real Craftsman anything. What more than you ask for but real Kenmore, like my '48 Kenmore wringer, take a look.

Gave up on Sears and Kenmore-you can have BETTER choices elsewhere. And if you buy a Sears item today-when they go under-the question is WHEN-but it is going to happen.Who will honor the warranty on the Sears machine you bought when they close???

Better

Well... Agree to disagree there. Kenmore gave features and options no one else could or did all for a lower price. Kenmore was marketing genius and still would be if serious did not go bankrupt.

My Sears fantasy

Would be to walk in and find new 1963 laundry appliances and the same vintage lawn mowers and Coldspot ACs and Fridges and around 1959 or 60 vacuums, all brand new!

Id be pretty happy by having the whole DD line back (including the totally amazing Catalyst), and (sorry not sorry) these two: The Calypso and the Frigimore.

Id have them bring back the Lady Kenmore name and bring back the piano key style controls and garage door panels of the early 70s.

Ha, maybe a Frigidaire Jet Cone-style agitator... (Kidding, of course!)

Well, the subject of washers was brought up by a lady who knew she couldn't use HE detergent in her (old) top-loader, whereas I came out & asked her "if it was a Whirlpool or a GE filter-foo, mining the lids & the circular lint trap, just for her to say she had a Kenmore, as in turn, there's where I did, too... However, I jokingly said my washer was a 'radio dial' model that lit up, so of course, that is what I seriously would want...

Love the fantasies, keep em coming! :)

Yes- I to would be happy if the DD line came back. Lady Kenmore would be much appreciated. I wish my Queen had a light up tub and control panel.

1976 harvest gold kenmore washer

my Kenmore fantasy would be to see a 1976 canadien Kenmore with that agitator 5 wash rinse temp but with a classic belt drive lint filter but fills like a direct drive washer and harvest gold of course
