At Walmart maybe a year ago I saw an interesting griddle that was gas. Appeared to have a beige colored surface to the griddle and was on wheels like a gas BBQ. More recently I've seen a tabletop model that looks very similar to a commercial griddle, this is also gas, I think it runs off of a gas bottle.

Has anyone seen these? I think they could be nice. And much easier to maintain than a messy gas grill.

Griddles and Grills are completely different cooking devices and provide different cooking processes. Griddles give you a solid surface for cooking while grills give you a cooking area that exposes food directly to the heat source beneath it. If you had a gas grill, you could probably put a griddle on it and if you did not, the gas griddle you saw might answer a need.

Blackstone is the brand that I see advertised heavily on TV. Is that the brand that y'all are seeing in stores?

The tabletop unit I saw was a Blackstone, I'm pretty sure the stand mounted version was as well.
