Good thread Pierre! Id say I would have to have a D&M Kenmore. There was one that showed up on Kijiji a few years ago, rapid advance push button. Very nice.

You know, I think I have just about all the portables that I ever wanted!  Yes, I wanted the Roto-Rack... LOL

I guess all I "need" would be a Frigidaire Dishmobile, but it'd have to be a Custom Imperial Spin-Tube model.

Assuming that #7 is a Kenmore/D&M from the mid 60s...what color racks? Impeller or spray arm?

An original Maytag RR and a Silver Shower GE, I know it's silly but that extra spray arm under the silverware basket is gimmicky enough that I want one. I've got the basket, just need the machine!

Maytag WC 401

I had one before, bought it used, in the late 1980's and I used it until around 1999, when I had to move to a new house with a built-in brand new dishwasher.

I would love to get one again, brand new in a box would be a dream.

Second choice would be a portable KitchenAid, with the controls on top.

Jamiel: #7 has the oddball combination of an impeller with a short spray arm. The racks are coral pink.

Dream Dishwasher?

I'd say a mid-60s Mobile Maid. We had one when I was a kid and I actually was rather fond of it. We had chores back then and mine was loading the dishwasher. Alas, when the kitchen was remodeled in 1970 we built a "garage" for it under a kitchen counter, so when the house was sold, the dishwasher stayed. Hurumph!

I’d say a stainless steel tub Kitchenaid, any of the models it was available with. I’m betting it’ll have to be a built in model for the stainless tub though.

I only saw it once, but the Waste King top loading portable with the Z-shaped wash arm so you had half an arm under each rack. The top was black matte paint and contained the full width handle. The cover had a hole in the front corner for the timer dial to come through. The interior was pink, as I remember.

I'd love to have a reverse rack Maytag or an 80's Sears Ultra Wash, the one they had on display in the store with the clear front window.   I would stand and watch that thing wash for hours while my parents shopped.  It was so much fun.

Maytag RR (early ‘80’s with the three buttons in the middle and the knob on the right). KDS-58 and Sears Ultra Clean II, or III. Don’t know about models after that. Built-Ins would be fine too. Just dreams.

If I could get another Lady Kenmore push button from 1972 again, (The Freedom Maker), it would never be thrown away like my old one when the bottom door screws holding the panel on ruined the porcelain bottom. 22 minutes, open the door, spin the roto rack and once they cooled enough to handle and put away. Never got a dirty dish from that Lady, miss her.
